🍚 Fried Rice Done Five Ways – by Savory Secrets

1️⃣ Steak & Shrimp Fried Rice 🍤
Ingredients
• 8 oz ribeye or sirloin, bite-sized
• 8 oz shrimp, peeled & deveined
• Garlic powder, salt & black pepper
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 3 cups day-old jasmine rice
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup peas & carrots
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp oyster sauce
• 2 tsp sesame oil
• 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Season steak and shrimp. Sear steak 2–3 minutes; remove. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side; remove. Scramble eggs and set aside.
Sauté garlic, peas, and carrots in butter. Add rice and lightly crisp. Stir in sauces and sesame oil. Return steak, shrimp, and eggs. Toss and heat through. Serve hot.
2️⃣ Teriyaki Chicken Fried Rice
Ingredients
• 2 chicken breasts, cubed
• 1 cup teriyaki sauce
• 2 tsp oil
• ½ cup onion, diced
• 1 tbsp garlic
• 1 cup mixed veggies
• 3 eggs, beaten
• 3 cups cooked rice
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
• 2 green onions
• Pepper to taste
Instructions
Marinate chicken at least 1 hour. Cook over high heat; set aside.
Sauté onion and garlic, add veggies. Scramble eggs in the same pan.
Add rice, chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onion, and pepper. Cook until slightly crispy.
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
Simmer soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic 3–5 minutes.
Optional: thicken with cornstarch slurry.
Store refrigerated up to 1 week.
3️⃣ Thai Pineapple Fried Rice 🍍
Ingredients
• 2 cups day-old jasmine rice
• 1 cup pineapple chunks
• ½ lb shrimp
• ½ cup bell pepper
• 2 cloves garlic
• 2 green onions
• ¼ cup cashews
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp curry powder
• 2 eggs
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• Chili flakes (optional)
• Salt to taste
Instructions
Cook shrimp and set aside.
Sauté garlic and onions. Add pineapple and peppers.
Scramble eggs in the pan and stir in curry powder.
Add rice, soy sauce, chili flakes, and cashews.
Return shrimp, toss well, garnish, and serve.
4️⃣ Garlic Chili Crisp Fried Rice 🌶
Ingredients
• 3 cups cold rice
• 2 tbsp chili crisp
• 1½ tbsp neutral oil
• 5–6 cloves garlic
• 2 eggs
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
• ½ tsp sesame oil
• Black pepper & salt
• Green onions
Instructions
Heat oil. Sauté garlic with chili crisp.
Scramble eggs softly.
Add rice and toss well.
Stir in sauces and cook until lightly crisp.
Finish with green onions.
5️⃣ Lemon Pepper Shrimp Fried Rice 🍋
Ingredients
• ½ lb shrimp
• 3 cups day-old rice
• 2 tbsp oil
• 2 eggs
• 3 cloves garlic
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1½ tsp lemon pepper
• Lemon zest
• Green onions
Instructions
Cook shrimp with lemon pepper; set aside.
Scramble eggs and remove.
Sauté garlic, add rice and crisp slightly.
Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon zest.
Return shrimp and eggs, toss, garnish, and serve.
