2 cups cooked shredded beef (or chicken)


1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)


1/2 cup refried beans (optional)


1/4 cup diced onion


1/2 tsp cumin


1/2 tsp chili powder


4 large flour tortillas


Oil (for frying)

1. In a bowl, mix shredded meat, cheese, beans, onion, cumin, and chili powder.

4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).



5. Fry chimichangas seam-side down until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
